Blurb

Tierney Haven and Burr O’Leary come from completely different worlds…

…but there’s a reason they say “opposites attract.”

Bookish Tierney Haven has always preferred places to people, and she especially loves the peace and quiet of Moonstone Manor, an estate museum located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where she is head docent, chief historian and live-in caretaker. The very last thing she expects to find on the doorstep at midnight is bruised and bloodied stranger, Burr O’Leary, in desperate need of her help.

Against her better judgement and at the risk of her brothers’ wrath, Tierney offers Burr sanctuary at Moonstone Manor, and nurses him back to health, surprised to discover that the dashing, enigmatic stranger loves the history and peace of Moonstone as much as she. But Burr has a dark history, and those who hurt him will stop at nothing to eliminate him…placing Tierney in grave danger until he is well enough to find them first.

4 “BAM!” Stars

When Tierney is suddenly awakened in the middle of the night she figures it’s her brother on another bender. What she doesn’t expect is the man that’s waiting on the other side of the door and how much her life would be forever altered by him.

Smiling Irish is a sweet, heartwarming story that will put a smile on your face. From endearing characters to an intriguing storyline, it was a quick read that was enjoyable in its entirety.

I adored Tierney when I met her in Fighting Irish and could not wait for her book. She’s sweet, sexy, and sassy. She’s strong and has backbone and isn’t afraid to do what she thinks is right. When faced with a mysterious and possibly dangerous man, she holds her own and shows her wonderful heart with her welcoming nature.

Burr is a bit of a mystery but we know he is strong, protective, and cares so much for the people in his life. He made a decision a few years ago that changed his life more than he could have imagined. He lost things that were important and has to live with his choices. He has done things he is not proud of but he owns them and is determined to get his life back.

I love that Burr meets Tierney by chance and she is exactly what he needs after the past three years. She calms his storms and softens his edges. They meshed so well even if at first glance they seem like opposites. I loved watching the trust grow and the love bloom. Their questions and concerns about each other were realistic and believable, and even though they fall for each other quickly, it works in this story. They bond during a somewhat dramatic experience and I felt their attraction grow naturally.

There was room for more danger, suspense, and drama but this story stays pretty low-angst. It’s another sweet, smile-inducing book in the Summerhaven Trio series and I can’t wait for more!!
