I knew Nadia and Crosby would have a wonderful love story after meeting them in The Rules of Friends with Benefits and I was right! The Virgin Rule Book is a fun, fresh take on the friends-with-benefits trope and I adored the story.

Crosby hasn’t had the best track record when it comes to woman so he decides to try out being single until after spring training. Nadia has only had a few relationships but they didn’t really go anywhere, and recently she has struck out with every date she has gone on. Taking a break from trying to find the one, she is all for being single. Unfortunately, as the owner of a football team, there are a lot of functions to attend and going solo isn’t always fun. The same is the case with Crobsy who is a successful baseball player, so they both decide to help each other out by being the other’s plus one when needed. Little did they know it would change their lives forever!

Nadia and Crosby have known each other for ages and they have been there for each other for all of the ups and downs that life brings. Hanging out at sports functions is easy for them and they always have a wonderful time together. However, they have only ever been just friends so when they start to feel something stirring, they don’t exactly know what to do about it.

Crosby is supposed to be resisting women but when Nadia is around he can’t stop from thinking about the chemistry they have always had. There are sparks that are natural and the sexual tension starts to skyrocket as they try to fight the inevitable. When they give into the first kiss, it is electric. They can’t stop thinking about it and they only way forward is to try out being friends-with-benefits with the end date of spring training. Therefore, they can indulge but don’t have to risk falling in love and ruing everything. If only things are that easy.

A charge rushes through the air, but it’s not buzzing with lust this time.
It’s humming with…something else entirely.
She flashes me a soft smile. “You look good, Crosby,” she says, and her words send an unexpected tingle down my spine.
That tingle – it doesn’t feel sexual. It feels…warm and I don’t know what to make of that either.
So, I offer her my arm, and she takes it. As we enter the gala together, my heart beats a little faster. A little harder.
A rhythm that’s less like we’re friends with benefits and more like that other thing.
The thing I don’t know how to name.
But it feels hopeful.
And it feels dangerous.

Nadia and Crosby are perfect for one another. Not only do they have so much fun together, they can be honest and open, and they can rely on each other. They are hilarious and their banter is entertaining. They care about each other and are there for each other always. They know how much their friendship means but they know that they are only pretending that they don’t feel more and they emotions were well written and believable.

Why the hell did I have to be in a self-prescribed time-out when I reconnected with the woman of my dreams?

There is little drama and mostly lighthearted fun and feels. It was so good to get more of Nadia and Crosby. Though you don’t need to read The Rules of Friends with Benefits first, I did enjoy getting more of the backstory and I do recommend reading it first.

Overall, I loved this book. It’s a great start to the Rules of Love series and I can’t wait for more!
