The Dark Protectors is a fantastic series, with a twist on the standard vampire stories, and also featuring shifters and witches and demons… oh my!
At the end of Marked (#7), the story spins off into the Realm Enforcers series, which focusses on the Dunne family of witches. It’s set in the same world, with some character crossovers, and though I think it would be more meaningful to have read the Dark Protectors books first to give you a thorough understanding of the world and those who inhabit it, I think there is enough explanation given to be able to read the Realm Protectors series on its own.
Book #8 Vampire’s Faith, is back to the Dark Protectors series, but it’s the start of a new story arc which incorporates the characters from the original books, but focuses on a different group.
Smart, intense, sexy, and swoonily romantic, each book is its own individual story and ends well, but the overarching story arc develops across all of the books, so make sure you read them in order (with the exception of the novellas which do not form a part of the overarching storyline and can be skipped – but they’re great reads, so I recommend them all!).
