Synopsis
Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry Charles Albert Edgar Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.
He’s not handling it well.
Hoping to force her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora goes on a much-needed safari holiday—and when the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:
Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.
A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world’s most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.
While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.
The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit…and her naughty sense of humor.
But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.
As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

Review
Absolutely loved it! Funny, heartfelt, seriously hot and beautifully romantic. Henry stole my heart!
4.5 stars!
I am a huge fan of Emma Chase and I fell in mad love with Royally Screwed last year, and while falling in love with Nicholas and Olivia and their story, Nick’s younger brother, Henry, absolutely stole my heart and I could not wait to get my hands on this book. And let me tell you, it does not disappoint. Laugh-out-loud funny, heartfelt and beautifully romantic, this book grabbed me from the very first page, and I could not put it down. I loved it!
Henry Pembrook is the very reluctant next in line to the throne of Wessco. It’s a responsibility he never anticipated, and one that he does not want, and now that it’s his, he is drowning under the expectations now shoved upon his party-boy shoulders.
King.
Christ my stomach rolls every time I think the word. When someone says it aloud I gag. If I’m supposed to be the Great Royal Hope for my country, we’re all well and truly fucked.
Emma has a gift for writing the male POV, and she’s done a fantastic job with Henry. He could so easily come off as irresponsible and selfish, but instead he is charming, funny and instantly loveable. I love that we got his perspective, his inner monologue is just as funny as his witty dialogue, and I could completely understand how he was feeling and where his head is at. So can his grandmother, the Queen, so she offers him space to come to terms with his new life, and it’s then that Henry agrees to an offer to star in a Bachelor-esque reality TV show.
If I’m going to fail spectacularly, I want to fail my way. Go out with a bang.
And a party. A month-long party, the castle brimming with twenty beautiful women falling all over themselves for my attention. Matched: Royal Edition suddenly seems like a bloody fucking brilliant idea.
What could possibly go wrong?
Knowing that he is going to be in his element, Henry plans on enjoying every moment of his time surrounded by beautiful women and partying hard. But it’s not one of the beauties vying for a crown that capture his attention, it’s the shy, quiet, beautiful woman in the background that is about to turn his whole world upside down.
Lady Sarah Von Titebottum (yes, that name receives the jokes that it well and truly deserves) is a part of the Royally Matched mayhem in order to help her sister, who is a contestant. She is a reserved librarian with a head full of romantic stories and who lives a sheltered life with few real connections outside of her family and her two best friends – though she has a sharp wit, and a wickedly funny sense of humour. But from the moment that she and Henry lay eyes on each other, sparks fly, and Sarah knows that she is in way over her head.
He could crush me; the foreshadowing is clearly written. It’s a tale as old as time: the inexperienced bluestocking and the bed-hopping rogue.
Bloody hell, I’m a trope.
A friendship quickly develops between them which is open, honest and so much fun, and with both of them feeling their strong attraction there is fantastic flirting and banter.
“Where are we going, love?”
“We?” Her eyes are darker – dilated, and her chest rises and falls in quick, excited pants. I wonder if she even realizes it. “I have a meeting. Mother’s sent her car to take me. You can’t come, Henry.”
“I can come lots of times. My stamina is legendary. Do you want me to show you?”
Her voice comes out soft, husky. “You can’t come with me”
“That sounds like a challenge.” I smirk slowly. “I bet I could time it just right.”
And, of course, true feelings aren’t too far behind, and it was absolutely beautiful to watch Henry and Sarah fall for each other! The self-declared playboy and the innocent loner – neither of which have had a relationship in the past, both of them scared of everything that it means, but both of them so willing to follow where their hearts are leading them.
“You’ve become…important to me, Sarah. I mess up a lot; I always have. I don’t want to mess this up.”
I freaking love Henry and Sarah together!!! It’s natural and easy, lots of fun yet deeply emotional, and so freaking sexy!! But more than that, there is wonderful character growth for both of them as they find strength in what they have together and it gives them the courage to become who they were meant to be.
I don’t want to control her; I just want to keep her. Her gentle spirit, her kind loveliness has become the center of my world and I’m not sure I know how to function anymore without it.
I was happy with myself before – with my little life. But this is different. It feels like I’m on the edge of a mountain cliff, the wind whipping my hair, the sun blinding – but there is no fear. Only exhilaration, pure and right. I’m not going to fall. I can’t.
Because Henry has shown me how to fly.
But their road to a HEA is a tricky one, with so much standing in their way (the least of which is the show). It’s going to take a lot of love, trust and sacrifice to make this relationship work.
Anything that came before is nothing. This is all that matters. This brave, stunning girl in my arms is all I will ever need.
I loved this book. I laughed and swooned, and the love story absolutely melted my heart. We get the chance to catch up with Nicholas and Olivia, and there is a wonderful bunch of side characters – all who add a lot to the story. But it was Henry who owned me completely, and I was quickly and happily swept up into his and Sarah’s world, and I loved every moment of their journey together.
4.5 stars.
