This was a gorgeous little story. It’s a very lighthearted romance, with not much of a storyline, but lots of swoon and a whole heap of steam!

Natalie is a photographer who meets gorgeously sexy Luke on the beach one morning while taking photos. He instantly demands that she stop taking photos of him and tries to take her camera away from her. Nat thinks she is being mugged and starts to fight back. After some verbal fisticuffs they both realise it’s a big misunderstanding. But the spark has been lit, and things develop very quickly from there.

What Natalie doesn’t know is that Luke is a huge movie star who retired from public life several years ago, but he still has issues with his celebrity and is understandably fiercely protective of his privacy. Natalie is also bearing scars from her past, and I love how the two of them put aside their fears, follow their hearts and just dive straight in.

The story follows the course of their relationship, which moves at a blistering pace! It’s hot and heavy very quickly. And when I say that I mean it’s HOT and HEAVY!!! The love scenes are short, but there’s lots of them! It seems that whenever these two see each other, it’s a race to tear their clothes off and get down to it… no matter where they are (bed, shower, car, bath, limo, plane, desk… it goes on). But there’s more to the story than that – Luke is amazingly romantic and their relationship is intense, and the whole thing is a big, huge swoonfest.

Natalie and Luke are very functional and there is very little stupid on their way to their HEA. Yes, they have issues and freak outs, but it’s resolved quickly (and usually followed up with some more sex). They tease and flirt, and it’s all very cute.

“How are you?” I ask.
“I’ve never been better.”
My eyes widen at his serious response. “Wow, I was just looking for good.”
“Oh honey, I surpassed good yesterday morning.”

And just to finish off there is a very swoony epilogue where we finally get Luke’s POV, and it’s gorgeous!

With the next book featuring Natalie’s awesome best friend Jules, and Jules having four gorgeous older brothers, and Luke having two siblings of his own, there is a great set up for future books and I’m definitely looking forward to going on with this series.
