This series is pure, romantic escapism!

Book 2 of the With Me in Seattle series focuses on Jules, the feisty best friend of Natalie from Come Away With Me, and my newest book boyfriend, Nate McKenna *swoon*.

Nate and Jules work together, in fact, he is her boss. And after one HOT night together eight months ago, Jules totally freaked out, knowing that their company has a no-fraternization policy and they were both risking their jobs by being together. So she snuck out of Nate’s bed and has done her best to avoid any intimate situations with him since. Nate has now decided he’s had enough of that – *sigh* there’s something so incredibly sexy about a guy who is determined to get his girl, and Nate is one determined guy… And we love him for it! He invites Jules to spend the weekend with him at his house so that they can ‘get to know each other’ better. And, despite her concerns for her job, and because she’s not a complete idiot, she agrees.

And so begins an absolutely gorgeous love story. Nate and Jules have sensational chemistry. Their relationship is intense, and moves fast, but it’s also realistic. There is some great banter, and they communicate openly and honestly. I love how functional they are together, and despite some blips along the way, it’s a beautifully romantic swoonfest. With sex… lots and lots of sex! Damn, Kristen Proby can steam up the pages!

Nate is a gorgeously slick businessman, hiding a tattooed and pierced (yes, he’s pierced!), motorcycle-riding bad boy underneath.

“So, my conservative-looking, suit-wearing boss has a tattoo and has his penis pierced?” I asked with a smile.
Nate laughs and takes another pull on his beer. “Yes. You didn’t seem to mind the piercing, if memory serves correctly.”

He is smart, confident and oh-so sexy, and he’s not afraid to show his feelings, and he has some very deep feelings for lucky Jules! He is essentially, the perfect man – loving, supportive, affectionate and so incredibly romantic, but with an irresistible dirty side. Yep, perfect! I don’t think I can fault any of his behaviour in this book, he’s just amazing. I was in a constant state of swoon for large portions of this book! And Jules is a great heroine. She has a vulnerable side, but she is confident, strong, independent and not afraid to speak her mind. And I just love the way that these two are no-nonsense, straight up and honest with each other about what they want, and they just get on and do it (and they do it lots!).

“You came into my life, and you just blindsided me. I am so fucking wrapped up in you I can’t see straight.”

I really enjoyed getting back into this series, and seeing the extended group of characters again. I love the dynamics between them all, it’s exactly the kind of friendships and family you’d love to have in your life. Natalie and Luke from the first book feature heavily, and Jules’ older brothers are sensational. They’re so supportive and protective of their baby sister! Gotta love those Montgomery boys! And Will – OMG, Will!! So excited for his book up next!

There isn’t a major storyline outside of the romance. There are some issues that they need to face together, but it’s all pretty tame, and the outcome is predictable, but I like that. I knew it’s what I would get when I started reading, and it’s the exact reason I picked up the book, so I got exactly what I wanted.

So if you’re after an intelligent, funny, blissfully swoony and steamy romance that is easy to read and pretty much angst-free, get into this series – you won’t be disappointed.

4 swoony stars.
