“No matter what, it’s you and me against the world. Deal?”
3.5 stars!
The final in the Savage Trilogy, this book brings us the conclusion to Kane and Temperance’s passionate and suspenseful story as danger is faced, questions are answered, and the truth is uncovered as the story twists and turns to its big finish.
It’s a mix of suspenseful anticipation and gorgeous romance as Kane and Temperance work together to end the threat against her once and for all, and the swoon is fantastic!
“You have to know…there isn’t a goddamned thing I wouldn’t do to keep you safe. You can hate me if you need to, but that will never change the fact that I love you.”
Slower paced than its predecessors, it’s not quite as intense as I was expecting, but there are still plenty of opportunities for Kane to show his anti-hero badassery, which I loved.
“No one threatens my woman and lives to tell about it.”
And Temperance is a great match for him, standing up both to him and with him, and I loved seeing them as true partners in every way.
With him, I feel all the extremes. There’s nothing average about what we have.
I won’t say any more so that I don’t ruin the experience for anybody yet to read it, but this is a satisfying finish to an intense, passionate and romantic trilogy. Not as much as I was hoping for, perhaps, but still a great read.
3.5 stars.
