Blurb

One week.
Private cabin.
Famous physicist.
Still an unrepentant slacker.
What’s the worst that could happen?

Mona’s meticulously planned allotment of relaxation is thrown into chaos by the unscheduled appearance of her older brother’s band of friends, including the one person she’d hoped to never face again. Abram still makes her feel entirely too much, which is one of the reasons she disappeared after their one week together. But now, trapped on a mountain of snow and things unspoken, Mona will have to find a way to coexist with Abram, chaos and all.

Laws of Physics is the second trilogy in the Hypothesis series; Laws of Physics parts 1 (MOTION) & 2 (SPACE) end with a cliffhanger.

Review

5 brave stars!!

I am loving the Laws of Physics Trilogy and am totally, completely invested in Mona and Abram’s love story. Space takes place more than two years after the ending of Motion. Mona needs to get away for some peace and quiet and she and her friend decide to stay at her parent’s cabin in Aspen. Little does she know her brother and a bunch of his friends will be there too, including Abram. Unprepared to see him, Mona is hit with all the feelings she has fought since her week with Abram in Chicago, and it seems that Abram is harboring his own feelings, most of which are hostile. Staying under the same roof isn’t appealing but Mona isn’t ready to leave now that she is around Abram. After all, her life changed the moment she met Abram.

These next few days would be my last chance to be near him in any meaningful way. I could avoid him and the all the uncomfortable, painful, breath-snatching feelings, or I could experience him and the feelings. Even if he hated me, even if I didn’t understand why I continued to feel so strongly about him, even if the only memories I made during this time were agonizing ones, I’d take agonizing over another black hole of nothingness.

I loved Motion but Space is even better. It is faster paced and has more depth, more sexual tension, and more feels. We also finally get some heat. This story is addictive, consuming, and fantastic.

I adore Mona and we get so much more of her real side. We learn what makes her tick and why she makes the decisions she does. She is more confident and her strength grows as we get more depth to her character. She doesn’t back down when it matters most and I love when she lets her emotions free.

Abram is angry, frustrated, and hurt. I knew he would find out what Mona did but it’s the way he did that was unexpected and well done. The way things unfold hurt but I understood all the mixed emotion he experienced. The deception is very real but as some of his questions are answered he begins to see who Mona really is and he is not ready to let he go.

I didn’t want one of her moments, I wanted all of them. I wanted an invasion, not a visit.

From good to bad and everything in between, we get mad feels from Mona and Abram. Their confrontations are painful, heartbreaking, and so intense but also so full of love when they finally acknowledge the depth of their feelings. Even though they only spent six days together, they formed a bond that lasted through the years and now that they are back in the same vicinity, they can’t deny it any longer. The sexual tension threatens to burn down the house and I couldn’t wait until they gave into their desires. It takes some time because both Mona and Abram are stubborn but when they finally do, there is some heat and the wait was worth it!

Getting to a place of understanding, forgiveness, and moving on is not easy and it seems to be just out of their grasp. It’s heartbreaking really. Just as they finally open up everything is pulled apart and we are left with a cliffy that just made me sad. I knew something was coming but I didn’t know what. Now, I can’t wait to get my hands on what will surely be an epic finale to this trilogy. I want more Abram and Mona and I am so excited for Time!!
