4 stars!

Oh, I loved this one! Back to the world of the Brooklyn Bruisers for another fun, sweet, sexy and heartfelt romance, I loved being back in this world and got completely swept up in Silas and Delilah’s story!

Silas is the backup goalie for the Brooklyn Bruisers, and for a while now he has been teased about his all-consuming crush on pop star, Delilah Spark. And now we come to understand the delicious twist to his longing-from-afar as we learn that Silas and Delilah met three years previously and shared an intense connection that has clearly left its mark on both of them.

She’s my one regret, the girl I left behind. Then fate gave me another chance to make her mine.

Through flashback we get to go back and see when Silas and Delilah met, and it’s so gorgeous! Sweet, emotional and sizzling with sexual tension. But their lives led them in different directions and they weren’t able to stay in touch. So when Silas calls Delilah out on Twitter, asking her for a date, she has no idea who he really is, and when she agrees and the stage is set for an epic reunion, I was bouncing up and down with excitement just waiting to see how it was all going to play out.

I won’t give any more details because it’s best just to dive in and experience it. It’s sweet, it’s sexy, and it’s gorgeously romantic, I loved Silas’ heartfelt devotion, I loved the sense of playfulness between the two of them, and I loved the passion and sexual chemistry that they experienced together. I absolutely adored seeing Silas and Delilah finally get the chance to act on their feelings, and revelled in the romance of their love story.

They have dramas to face, but most of it is external to the relationship, which is functional for the most part. It’s possibly a little on the extreme end, but I was happy to go along with it and watch it all unfold.

The rest of the team are, of course, along for the ride and I loved catching up with them. And while you could read this one as a standalone, be aware that you see some pretty significant progression for previous couples – fans of the series will LOVE it!

Another winner from Sarina Bowen. I’m excited for more from this series!

4 stars.
