What is The Bachelors Club?
It’s a gentleman’s club—like the dignified men of the past used to have. Except, we’re not gentleman, and we’re not dignified.
We’re ineligible bachelors, bored, jaded and not looking for relationships. Quite the opposite actually. So committed to being single, we’ve created a high stakes bet to see who can remain single the longest…
Four days co-habitating in a shared work space shouldn’t be a big deal. It shouldn’t be distracting. But Spencer Standish saw me puking in a company trash can, and won’t let me live it down. Cheerful, aggravating Spencer, who wants me to fetch her coffee.
As if she’s the boss of me.
And now I’m stuck sharing her office.
Let’s face facts: I can’t be in a relationship; not when there’s a bet to win—not with Spencer, who loves my uncontrollable basset hound, lazy Sundays, and grilled cheese as much as I do. I refuse to fall for her.
I will be the last Bachelor standing.

4.5 stars!
I loved this book, it was just what I needed – light, fluffy, laugh-out-loud funny, slightly ridiculous and sweetly romantic. This is an angst-free, quick and easy read that left me with a big grin on my face.
This is the second book in the Bachelors Club series, about a group of three friends who form a club and make a bet as to which of them can remain single and unattached the longest.
Is it childish that we’re doing this? Yes
Does it go against everything our parents taught us about love and relationships? Also yes.
Do we care? No.
Phillip and Spencer are colleagues forced into cohabiting in Spencer’s office while Phillip’s undergoes renovation. It’s only for a week, but neither of them are happy about it, and though there is an attraction and they are quietly crushing on each other, it reads more like an enemies-to-lovers romance. The bantering and bickering is freaking hilarious, and I couldn’t get enough of these two going at each other over the stupidest things…
I can hear the sound of lead being pressed into the paper with an unnecessarily heavy hand. He’s pressing the pencil so hard the lead actually squeaks.
“Oh my God,” I push out tersely, mostly under my breath, when I simply cannot stand the sound any longer.
The sound stops. “What?”
If I were wearing glasses, this is where I would whip them off as I turn to face him, like a defense attorney. “Must you press so hard on your damn pencil? Could it be any louder?”
“Now you’re telling me how to write?” He’s disgusted.
“No. I’m telling you it’s obnoxious and asking can you please stop pushing the pencil into the paper so hard? You’ve probably etched through to the desk.”
“You’re insane.” He shakes his head.
I’m insane? Umm…
“Your pencil is driving me nuts!”
“Oh, my pencil is driving you nuts.” It’s a statement, not a question, Phillip’s tone flat and bored.
“Yes! It’s offensive.”
“My pencil is offensive?”
“Stop repeating everything I say.”
“Get over yourself.” Phillip snorts, going back to note-taking, lead squeaking with every stroke. He holds the pencil up and stares at it, as if seeing it for the first time, pleased with it, and himself. “Huh. It really is loud.”
After that, he’s louder than before, a sadistic smile on his face that I want to smack right off.
He’s enjoying this, that bastard.
But of course things change. The bickering is hotly intermingled with flirting, and when they actually stop sniping at each other, they realise that they enjoy each other’s company. But is the promise of everything they could be worth Phillip losing out with his buddies? And how will Spencer react when she finds out about it all? Will she even give him the time of day?
It’s a fun, flirty and snarky ride, and I loved Phillip and Spencer’s story. Written in dual POV, I loved their inner monologues as much as I loved their chemistry-filled dynamic. Phillip’s friends are there of course, and Spener’s bff is so freaking funny. It’s all enhanced by the presence of Phillip’s hilarious basset hound, Humphrey, who surprisingly brings a lot to the story.
This is a really quick read, but I was fully invested, and laughed my way from start to finish. I would have like just a bit more romance, but what we get is sweet and sexy.
Lots of fun, I loved this one!
