This Christmas novella is an enjoyable read – fun and flirty, with a fake relationship set up and heaps of chemistry.

Riley Kennedy and Kennedy Riley work in different offices of the same company. Understandably, their emails continually get mixed up, and Kennedy will often provide comments on Riley’s emails, much to her frustration. It gets even more embarrassing when he provides advice on Riley’s private life after an advice columnist replies to the wrong email address.

It’s an awkward situation that makes things really interesting when the two of them run into each other at the office Christmas party. But there is a spark of attraction there, and Kennedy uses his accidental insider knowledge of Riley’s family life to propose that they act as boyfriend/girlfriend for their family’s Christmas events.

It’s a fun set-up that leads to hilarious conversation around Riley’s family dinner table, and a whole lot of flirting and touching creates fantastic sexual tension as their attraction continues to grow.

Travelling to Kennedy’s family makes things even more complex as his family dramas play out, and Riley gets to know so much more about him than she could have expected.

But when it’s all over, will they be able to go their separate ways, or will their week together be the start of something more?

This is a sweet read that made me laugh. The romance is great, with lots of chemistry and some steamy time. I thought it got a bit cheesy towards the end, but there is a happy ending and it all wraps up really nicely.

The audiobook is narrated by Andie Arndt and Sebastian York, and it’s definitely a fun one to listen to.
