4 “you never know” stars!
Friends-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes and Lauren Blakely has done a fantastic job setting the stage for The Virgin Rule Book. If it is anything like The Rules of Friends with Benefits, Nadia and Crosby’s story will surely be an entertaining friends-to-lovers romance!
Nadia owns the Vegas Hawks and they just won the Super Bowl. She has worked hard to get to where she is and now that she has time, she’s looking for someone to share her life with and she can’t stop thinking about Crosby, her brother’s best friend and her childhood friend. They have an easy friendship and sparks are definitely present but they are only ever friends. So, she turns to a matchmaker who assures her she’ll find the perfect guy. You know what they say about famous last words.
Nadia goes on first date after first date but none of them lead to a second one. Every thought always comes back to the wonderful connection she has with Crosby. Their banter is gold and they have so much fun together. I rest believed their friendship and I was dying for them to just go for it.
I loved this prequel. As with most friends-to-lovers romances, neither want to risk their friendship but sometimes they just have to take a chance.
Overall, The Rules of Friends with Benefits is a quick, entertaining read and the perfect setup for The Virgin Rule Book. I cannot wait to get more of Nadia and Crosby, I just know these two will bring on the heat, humor, and heart!! I loved it!
