One unforgettable night leads to an unlikely shared connection, and unlikely connections never go unnoticed by the good folks in Green Valley, Tennessee. . .
Jackson James follows the rules. He has to. He’s a sheriff’s deputy in a super small town with a super big personality. However, strict adherence to the law during the day has been enjoyably balanced by rakish rules at night. Jackson, typically happy to protect and serve (and serve, and serve), starts questioning the value of wayward evenings when they begin to feel more like being waylaid rather than getting laid. Could it be that Green Valley’s most eligible—and notorious—bachelor longs for something (and someone) real?
Mega movie star Raquel Ezra follows only one rule: always leave them wanting more. Strict adherence to this single rule has served her well. Studio execs, reporters, audiences, fans, lovers—no one can get enough of the smart, savvy, and sexy bombshell. But when “generous offers” begin to feel more like excessive demands, years of always leaving has the elusive starlet longing for something (and perhaps someone) lasting.
When Raquel abruptly returns to the quirky Tennessee hamlet, her path crosses with the delectable deputy with whom she spent one unforgettable night. Unfortunately, scandal and intrigue soon follow. Raquel and Jackson must decide which is more important: following their rules? Or, at long last, finding something real.
TOTALLY FOLKED is a standalone, contemporary romantic comedy novel and book #1 in the Good Folk: Modern Folktales series.

4 stars!
After reading Just Folking Around, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Totally Folked and it did not disappoint!! Jackson and Raquel bring their love story to life through fantastic banter, smoking hot chemistry, wonderful family and friends, and two amazing characters who undoubtedly belong together.
Jackson had his heart broken as a teen and he became a known player in Green Valley. Then, after one amazing night with Raquel, he looks at life in a different way and wants to finally settle down. He has an idea of what he is looking for but it’s just not happening. When Raquel shows up over five years later, his world is flipped upside down.
Raquel is usually all about one night stands but when Jackson is in her life again, she can’t help but wonder what it would be like to be with him for longer. The fact that she is due back in L.A. in a couple weeks doesn’t bode well for a budding relationship, however, sometimes risks have to be taken to fight for a happily-ever-after.
I adored this story. Jackson and Raquel are fantastic together and bring on the laughs and heat whenever they are together. The undeniable chemistry that they try so hard to ignore just cranks up the sexual tension and they find it very difficult to keep their hands off of each other when they are in the same vicinity.
Jackson is a gentleman through and through, and though his gentlemanly ways may not be what some women are looking for, it’s exactly what Raquel doesn’t know she needs. They attraction is clear from their first interaction but it’s the slow pace, minus some mishaps, that lets them form a real relationship. They really open up to each other and I love when they realize what they are truly looking for. The growth for both of them is wonderful and I loved seeing them finally go after what they want!
I can’t say enough good things about the secondary characters. It was so good to be back in Green Valley and get more of the Winston Brothers and their spouses. Cletus is always fantastic and I loved that Jethro and Sienna had more than just cameos in this story. And Duane, Jessica, and Liam are there too!! I loved being back with them all and can’t wait for more!! Looking forward to the next book in the Good Folk series!!
