This is a quick novella, and the introduction to the full-length novel, The Best Men, co-written by Sarina Bowen and Lauren Blakely, and if this brief glimpse is a sign of what what’s to come for their story, I am here for it!

We are introduced to Mark, the nerdy, newly-divorced single father, and Asher, the openly gay ex-professional soccer player who is gorgeous, confident, and a complete sweetheart. Mark and Asher meet when Mark’s sister starts seeing Asher’s best friend, and I loved getting to know them a little bit, and watching them interact in some very entertaining social situations. Their attraction is already apparent, and the chemistry is burning strong.

But when Mark’s baby sister reveals that she is pregnant and engaged way quicker than he is prepared for, he does not react well.

I can’t wait to see the fallout, and I’m excited to read more about the two best men.
