Oh my goodness, Tease is such a fun and totally swoony romance. It’s an original take on the friends-to-lovers trope and it is so well done. I adored Felicity and Hutton and couldn’t wait to see how their love story played out.

From the moment Felicity opened her mouth I knew I would love her. When she is nervous things just pop out of her mouth and it is hilarious. Her inability to stop saying random things is what starts the whole fake fiancé charade and Hutton plays along because he is truly her best friend. Then, things get complicated when everyone thinks it’s true and they have to figure out how to handle the situation they find themselves in without ruining their friendship.

These two are fantastic together. They get each other one hundred percent and you can feel their love for each other first as friends and then finally as lovers. They each have their own flaws but they accept the other completely and unconditionally.  Hutton has his own challenges and I loved that Felicity knows him so well and is there for him, thinking of him first always. At times I felt like she knew him better than his own family and it shows what a wonderful and deep connection they share.

This charade throws them for a loop because they are both attracted to each other but they are so scared of ruining their friendship. It’s all pretend so they don’t have to deal with feelings even if they want to “practice” to make things believable. And it is too funny. Already they are in over their heads but don’t know how to handle it. I felt all the emotions running through them and was hoping they’d make it real. I love that we get both POVs because usually we only get one side and we are left wondering how deeply the other person feels. Getting to see into Hutton’s head shows us how he felt too, and I believed everything in his heart.

There are some bumps in the road before we get to see their happily ever after but nothing is over the top dramatic. I thought the way things turn out is perfect for Felicity and Hutton and is true to their characters.

I really enjoyed tease and loved Hutton and Felicity’s story. They had such a wonderful friend-to-lovers progression and their story is one I’ll definitely read over and over. I loved it!
