Oh God, I haven’t laughed this hard in ages!
5 huge stars
Rude, crude, full of sex jokes and not-so-subtle innuendo, and possibly the most times I’ve ever seen the word ‘vagina’ used in my life! But it’s FREAKING HILARIOUS! I read it in one sitting (except for when I had to put my kindle down to wipe my tears and compose myself), I finished it half an hour ago, and my sides still ache from laughing so hard!
I decided… I was going to be a labor and delivery consultant. I was going to stand next to every single woman in labor and every time.. the woman’s husband said something stupid like, “Just breathe through the pain,” it would be my job to squeeze the living fuck out of their reproductive organs until they were curled up in the fetal position… and I’d say “Just breathe through the pain, asshole!”
Claire and Carter were great characters, and their story is a really gorgeous one – reunited 5 years after a one night stand they both still dream about (and which produced 4 year old Gavin), even though they didn’t even learn each others’ names. The two of them, their crazy friends, and Claire’s father are all hilarious. But it’s 4 year old Gavin who steals the show. His antics had me crying with laughter throughout this book.
“Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do, watcha gonna do when they cut your wiener,” Gavin sang as he pointed his gun at random objects.
“Wow, cops have gotten pretty hardcore lately” Carter muttered.
Read this if you’re in the mood for outright, over the top hilarity, are not easy offended and you have a really high smutt tolerance level.
“I had been out of the game for too long. I couldn’t even get drunk and flirt anymore. I could however, get drunk and look like a stroke victim.”
Just brilliant!
