A Little Too Wild by Devney Perry is live!
A fantastically entertaining, passionate and romantic story that combines brother’s-best-friend, it-started-with-a-hookup, small-town and sports romance. I adored these characters, I loved their story, and this book had me hooked from start to finish. I loved it!

Crew Madigan is a snowboarding legend. He’s gorgeous, rich, famous and every woman’s dream. Well, except mine. I’ll take a nerdy guy with a clumsy streak who wouldn’t know what to do with a pair of skis to save his life. Superstar athletes? No, thanks. World champions? Hard pass. Crew? Definitely not.
It’s been over a decade since Crew set foot on Madigan Mountain. Instead of sitting with his family during his brother’s wedding, he takes the chair beside mine. ESPN really doesn’t do that chiseled jaw justice. The cameras miss the flecks of gold in his eyes. When he invites me to his hotel room after the wedding, I break all of my own rules for just one night.
But here’s the problem with just one night. Crew is impossible to forget. And he’s not the only one who loves a thrill. The crash, the broken bones, are inevitable. Because together, we’re a little too wild.

4.5 stars!
The third and final book in the Madigan Mountain series, Devney Perry has brought it home strong with this fantastically entertaining, passionate and romantic story that combines brother’s-best-friend, it-started-with-a-hookup, small-town and sports romance. I adored these characters, I loved their story, and this book had me hooked from start to finish. I loved it!
Crew is the youngest of the Madigan brothers, and like Reed and Weston before him, he left town as soon as he could to escape his alcoholic father and the ruins of his family left by his mother’s death. Crew is now an elite athlete and famous snowboarder, and it’s been 12 years since he’s been left the family’s small ski resort in Colorado, but his brothers have returned and are building it into something big. Now, he’s returning for a family wedding, and plans to get out of there as quickly as he can.
Raven runs the ski school at Madigan Mountain, and is a part of the girl-group of the resort (and the series). She’s also the younger sister of Crew’s best friend and grew up with him as a part of her life, but she didn’t think of him much then, and she hasn’t really thought of him in the years he’s been gone. She doesn’t have much time for him at all really. But she doesn’t know that Crew had a crush on her when they were teenagers, but he had promised her brother that he would never make a move. Now that they’re adults, all it takes is one glance and Crew is smitten once again. And his irresistible charm soon seduces Raven into a one-night only hook-up that rocks both of their worlds.
Crew’s plans to leave town are temporarily thwarted by his tenacious brothers who want him home and working in the family business with them. And suddenly a temporary stay in town doesn’t seem so bad, because while he’s there, he and Raven can’t stay away from each other. They both know it’s short-term and doesn’t mean anything, but it’s still more than either of them anticipated.
“I like this. You at my mercy.”
“Raven, if you think I haven’t been at your mercy from the beginning, then you haven’t been paying attention.”
OMG, the chemistry between these two is insane! I could feel the attraction, the sex is seriously steamy, and their fun and easy way with each other is so entertaining. They’re both so mature about it all, accepting the connection between them but acknowledging that their lives are in completely different places and that they want different things. It’s honest and functional, and I love watching things change.
This wasn’t a casual hookup. Not anymore. This went way beyond sex.
There’d be no goodbye, not this time.
What were we doing?
There’s a bit of back and forth, but it’s sensible to their situation, and with Crew doing the pushing, I loved watching the once-womaniser fall so hard.
Yep. I loved her.
My whole life was about to change, wasn’t it?
In the background, we’ve got all of the action of extreme winter sports, Crew is gearing up for the upcoming snowboarding season, Raven is wrestling with decisions about her future dreams, they both have family issues to deal with, and the resort is opening up for the winter season. All of the different elements come together for a fun yet heartfelt story with a lot of depth, and I loved being in this world with them both.
And all the while, Crew and Raven are easily and unexpectedly falling in love, and it’s so beautiful watching it happen. Of course they are hot together, but the emotional part of their story is just as gorgeous, and I was in a world of swoon as it all unfolded beautifully.
“Yes, you’re an escape. You’re also an addiction. A refuge. An adventure. This – us – is not me escaping a reality I don’t want to face. This is me coming to you because it’s the only place I want to be.”
I love these characters so much! Raven is a strong and determined badass who is happy with her life, and who won’t let anybody walk all over her. And Crew is such a cocky charmer, but he has a lot of pain from his past, and a sweet vulnerability that makes you just want to hug him. There are big changes coming for these two, and I love watching them react and deal with it, and support each other through it all. They’re a bit of a powerhouse couple, and I love that about them.
This has been such a great series. The trio of Sarina Bowen, Rebecca Yarros and Devney Perry have created two fantastic series for us now, and I hope they continue writing together.
