Lauren Blakely is my go-to author for quick, entertaining, spicy reads and The Good Guy Challenge did not disappoint. Ellie has a history of falling for the wrong guys. They are all bad news and it is time for a change.  One evening while she is out with her friends, they challenge her to pick a good guy to date. When she sees her old neighbor who was always kind and helpful to her family she figured he would be her perfect person for the challenge. And she was right because he is a really good guy…but he is also so much more.

I adored Ellie and Gabe and they are just what the other didn’t know they needed. Ellie has always gotten burned by the bad boys but there is a reason she’s attracted to them.  She loves the way they are in bed but they always let her down in the end. Gabe is nothing like the guys she’s been with. He combines the spice she wants in the bedroom but also brings a sweet, swoony side who treats her well which is exactly what she has been missing.

And Gabe hasn’t been able to be his true self around women because he’s been hurt in the past and made to think he’s wrong for wanting to pursue his desires. Ellie is his perfect match because he can embrace who he is without worry. She accepts him for all he is and she enjoys every minute of it!

What starts out as smoking hot fun turns real when they realized that a week is not enough time to enjoy each other.  Neither were looking for serious by feelings sneak up on them in the best possible way.  There is very little drama and a whole lot of heart and I couldn’t wait for these two just accept the inevitable. They belong together!
