Freaking fantastic! Great fun, heaps of action, awesome pnr and kickass romance, I loved it!

This is book 2 in the Realm Enforcers series. In order to fully appreciate the awesomeness that is this story, I would recommend reading the Dark Protectors series first to give you a full appreciation of the paranormal world and the people that inhabit it. This book follows directly on from the first book in this series, Wicked Ride, and features the second of the Dunne brothers – Daire. Like the rest of his family, Daire is a powerful witch and an Enforcer for the ruling body of the witches, the Council of the Coven 9. He has temporarily moved from Ireland to Seattle with his brothers to investigate the creation and distribution of a new drug, Apollo, which is deadly to both witches and humans, and which has been weaponised as a direct attack on the witch nation.

Part of his cover is as part of an MC which deals the drug, however the tie in is loose and I wouldn’t consider this an MC book. But it is at an MC party where Daire meets gorgeous Cee Cee and takes her home for the night. They are barely through his front door when she drugs him, rummages through the findings of his investigation, and leaves.

Cee Cee is a woman on a mission. She is fierce, brave and highly intelligent, but has been treated as precious and delicate for most of her life and she is now breaking out of her shell to wreak vengeance on the man who killed her mate. It turns out that her plans are very tightly tangled with Daire’s investigation, and when the furious witch tracks her down, the two of them are forced together as they continue their missions and end up in a fight for their very lives.

Oh my God, the action in this book is fantastic! It’s exciting and adventurous, and it reads like an action movie. I could see it all happening in my head while I read, and I was bouncing up and down in my chair with excitement and madly clicking my kindle pages.

And of course along the way Daire and Cee Cee bicker and banter but they are unable to resist their growing attraction, and the sexual tension between them is insane!

“Keep pushing, and you’ll be naked, too. Then we’ll see how brave you are.”
Her eyelids opened and then closed again. “I don’t think so.”
“Think whatever you want, baby, but at some point in the very near future, you’re going to be spread out in front of me, all of that glorious skin revealed, and I’m gonna take my time.”

Cee Cee initially fights against Daire, but she very quickly realises that it’s a hopeless cause and holy hell, the sexy time is sizzling! Passionate and intense, their attraction soon grows into something more as emotion becomes involved, and I love that they both just went with it, accepting their growing feelings for each other and holding nothing back. And I felt all of it!

Her last love had been calm and gentle, and she’d appreciated him.
Daire was anything but calm and gentle, and he brought out a side of her she hadn’t even known existed. A crazy, free side that just wanted to ride his wildness.

I love these two together! They are both fantastic characters on their own and together they are a phenomenal mix of determination, stubbornness, lust, and a quickly growing emotional connection, and as they get to know each other and secrets are revealed, there is a sensational twist, and I admit, I squeed out loud as it all unfolded. The love story is continually developing throughout the whole book and blends really well with the action side of things and the addition of characters from both this series and the Dark Protectors series make the whole thing even more epic as they all join the fight to bring down the bad guy and save the ones that they love.

This is SUCH a fun read! Exciting and engaging, the mix of action, adventure, sexy romance, paranormal badassery and brilliant character dynamics is so well done, I loved every minute of it.
