When Xander’s friend asks him to be the security detail for his country music star sister, he can’t say no. He owes his life to his friend and will do anything for him. So, even if the sister doesn’t want Xander there, he’s going to do what his friend asked and make sure she is safe.

Kelly, also known as Pixie Hart, just wants a vacation alone especially after her old secure detail leaked photos. She ends up in a cute little rental and is expecting some quiet relaxation, but what she doesn’t want is the huge, hot man her brother has hired watching her every move. Xander won’t back down though, so she is stuck with him in her tiny cottage and one bed. Of course, he’ll sleep on the couch, right?

Xander and Kelly are fantastic together and give us a smoking hot yet sweet romance. They start off on the wrong foot because Kelly does not want Xander there, but things take a turn with one move and then they can’t keep their hands off each other.

This book is full of heat as these two light the pages on fire. However, it’s not just the sexy times that make you love this book. It’s the trust that these two have that really move their relationship. I love the Xander supports Kelly and gets where she is coming from especially since becoming famous. She hasn’t had much say when it comes to what she wants to do and Xander is there to help push her to do the things she wants to while giving her the trust they need to form a strong unwavering bond.

And Kelly is so good with Xander. He hasn’t been looking for something serious but Kelly changes everything. They are at different points in their lives, and they live in different areas so making things work after Kelly’s vacation comes to an end will be hard. But they are good at knowing what matters and they make every moment count.

Overall, it is so good to be back in Cherry Tree Harbor. I loved Kelly and Xander’s story and enjoyed getting more of the characters we met in the first book. I can’t wait for more from this small town!
