The sixth book in the Pittsburgh Titans series, this is a sweet, sexy, swoony and heartfelt second-chance-at-love story for new Titans coach, Cannon.

Cannon gave up his NHL playing career to care for his dying wife. Ten years later, and he’s been given the opportunity of a lifetime to coach the rebuilding Pittsburgh Titans. Romance is the last thing on his mind, but a flirtatious attraction to his local barista, Ava, leads to a sizzling hot night together, and so much more when they continue seeing each other and he finds himself actually feeling something for somebody again.

Though Canon has strict rules about his priorities, and the time he’s able to devote to his private life, he and Ava fall together effortlessly. It’s sweet, and so damn sexy, and though he never wanted a relationship, that’s exactly where he finds himself, and it’s so amazing! It’s natural and easy, he is such a sweetheart but has a filthy mouth, and he’s SO freaking hot, and he is beautifully thoughtful, caring and protective towards Ava. She has just come out of an awful relationship herself, and is busy rebuilding her life. She is in no way a doormat, but she understands Cannon’s boundaries, still embracing everything that is happening between them.

It’s a beautiful romance, sweet and swoony, and their passion for each other is all consuming. Neither of them can stop themselves from falling. But Cannon knows first-hand the devastating toll that his job can take on relationships. And as their boundaries become more and more blurred, they’ll have to figure out what they want from each other, and whether they’re ready to put themselves out there again. Can Cannon truly have it all the second time around?

It’s a gorgeous journey for them, and I really enjoyed watching these two come together. We also get to see lots of the rest of the team, and I enjoyed catching up with couples from the previous books, as well as seeing glimpses of characters who still have books to come.

This is a really sweet read.
