When your best friend asks you for the biggest favor of her life.
EVA
Things were finally looking up for me.
I was my own boss; I owned my own house—
and I recently was contacted by an older sister I didn’t know I had.
Everything was perfect…until tragedy struck.
All the things that had come into my life were suddenly gone—except for one thing: my niece.
LEVI
I was a confirmed bachelor.I was married to my work and committed to nothing more.
No woman was going to change that.
Eva is my best friend and needed a life-changing favor:
Marry her so she could gain custody of her niece.
A marriage of convenience that would only last a year, tops.
But there were stipulations we hadn’t planned on.
Things got blurry—lines got crossed.
I would honor my commitment…I just hope I can walk away.

4 stars!
Oh, this is such a sweet read! Best friends in a marriage of convenience, caring for a baby and falling in love. It’s sweet, funny and sexy, and I loved it!
This book is the seventh in the Southern Wedding series, and though there is some character crossover, it’s not as intense as in previous books, and you can easily read this one as a standalone.
Eva is loosely tied into Natasha Madison’s series – she is a long-lost cousin of Stefano (through his father, Mark’s family), who has only recently discovered her family after never knowing her father. She also has a previously unknown older sister who she has grown close to. After growing up with pretty much nothing, she has created a good life for herself with her own business and a newly bought house, but her world is upended when a tragedy leaves her scrambling to gain custody of her nine-month old niece, and being a single woman may not cut it.
Levi is Eva’s best friend. Introduced by his other best friend, Stefan, they have grown close and are all up in each other’s lives. They are strictly platonic, with not even a hint of anything more happening between them, which suits Levi who is happy in his bachelor life and has no intention of ever settling down. He is stunned when Eva asks him for an unprecedented favour, but being the type of guy who would do anything to help his friend, he agrees to marry her, to live together for a year so that she can get custody of her niece, and then they’ll go back to being friends.
It’s a fantastic set-up, and I loved watching it all unfold. The friendship between Eva and Levi is fantastic – they tease and banter, they’re so open about everything, they get each other, and they care for each other deeply, just not in that way. They support each other completely through the huge change to their lives, and I loved watching them set up house together. But they’re in for a world of shock in caring for a baby, and when combined with the massive shift in their dynamic, it’s so freaking entertaining.
“It’s been two hours,” I state, rubbing my face. “She might be fevering again. Fucking teeth.” I grab the cover, flipping it off me and tossing it onto Eva’s side of the bed. “I don’t think I’ve hated something so much in my whole life.” I turn to look at Eva. “I’ll get a bottle. She didn’t really eat much at dinner, so she might be hungry.”
She gets off the bed, turning to look at me. Her eyes so huge on her faced. “What’s that?” I look where she is pointing down at my shorts that clearly, without a doubt, shows her my dick.
“That would be my dick,” I inform her, too tired to even care at this point.
Of course things start to change, and it’s a slow burn as attraction develops and their feelings for each other change. It’s sweet and sexy, and feels realistic to their situation, and though they have some figuring out to do as their relationship changes, it’s wonderfully angst free, and I loved watching them follow their hearts so completely.
“This thing between me and you.” My lips go into a huge smile. “It’s happening.” She sits up, shocked, her mouth opens and then closes. “I don’t know what it is, but I like it.” I lean in to kiss her cheek. “I like it more than that, I love it.” I hold her neck in my hand. “Coming home to you.” I stare into her eyes. “Going to bed with you. Doing life with you.”
And the only thing better than watching two best friends fall in love, is watching a hero fall in love with a baby girl at the same time, because OMG, Levi is ovary-melting with little Cici. Their moments together are so beautiful, his tenderness and protectiveness over her is gorgeous, and every time that her face lit up when he entered the room, my heart completely melted.
Did I know how unhappy I was before, now that every single day I rushed to get home? Did I know my life was a shallow place whereas now a little girl holds a piece of my heart in her tiny hand and I know I would spend all my life protecting her.
*dreamy sigh*
We get to catch up with characters from earlier books in the series, – Stefano and Addison from the last book in the series (Mine to Promise), and his fabulous parents. And the fact that there is an actual wedding allows the girls from the first books in the series to make a very welcome and highly entertaining appearance that had me laughing out loud.
I really enjoyed this story. It’s a gorgeous read that left me smiling and feeling fluffy, and I loved it.
4 stars.

About the Author
When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…
