The Name in Lights series by Kayley Loring is available in one collection!
Amazon
I love this series so much! Some of my favorite Kayley Loring books, these are fun, playful, sexy, romantic and reads, featuring childhood co-stars from a Disney series in single parent romances. Each book is about a different couple, and they can be read as standalones, but with them all available in one collection, why would you?
I fell in mad love with these characters, and got completely swept up in their love stories which are equal parts funny, sweet, filthy, and beautifully romantic. Each book had me laughing out loud, and I cannot recommend them enough.
Come and meet the lazy wingmen!
SLEEPER: a single dad – nanny / brother’s best friend romance
Shane and Willa’s story.
CHARMER: a single mom – rockstar romance
Nico and Kat’s story.
TROUBLEMAKER: a single dad – teacher romance
Alex and Emilia’s story.
This collection also features a bonus short story, Pumpkin’s Gotta Give, which is a hilariously entertaining read.
Review – Pumpkin’s Gotta Give
4 stars for the grumpiest Thanksgiving ever!
This is a fantastically fun short story. Distantly linked to the Name in Lights series, Damon is a friend of the boys from the series (who appear via a hilarious text chain conversation). He is a grumpy single Dad who is preparing for a quiet thanksgiving at home with his son, Bart.
Just because I don’t like talking to people about stupid things, would rather stay home alone or with my son on the weeks that I have him – just because I’d rather die alone than go on another date with anyone ever again – that does not make me unhappy. That makes everyone who doesn’t understand how awesome my life is an idiot.
But Bart has other ideas, inviting Damon’s neighbour, Nikki, who he has a weird but sexually charged antagonistic/competitive thing with.
We are equally good at ignoring each other while simultaneously pissing each other off.
Even in such a quick read, Kayley Loring had me laughing out loud. Damon is hilariously grumpy, Nikki is fabulously snarky, and I loved the banter and chemistry between these two.
“It sounded so unlike you to have a party or to willingly do anything with a bunch of people, but he said you’re trying to ‘open up and have more fun’.”
“I’m not.”
“That makes more sense.”
“But here you are.”
“Yeah…”
“I didn’t know you were coming over.”
“So I’ve gathered. Would you like me to leave?”
“Would you like to leave??
“I can’t decide if it would be more rude to leave or stay.”
And here we go again.
It’s funny, snarky and flirty, and we get to see a taste of steamy romance between these two and I loved it!
Such a quick read, but so much fun. 4 stars.

About the Author
Before writing steamy romantic comedy novels, Kayley Loring got a BFA in creative writing from a Canadian university and had a fifteen-year career as a screenwriter in Los Angeles (under a different name). She mostly wrote PG-13 family comedies that studios would pay her lots of money for and then never make into movies. In 2017 she decided to move to the Pacific Northwest and write about all the fun stuff that she wasn’t allowed to write about in those PG-13 scripts. Now she’s breathing cleaner air and writing dirtier words. It’s an adjustment she’s happily getting used to.
