4 happy ending stars

This book is the second part of the In Luv duet, and is a direct continuation of Langley and Iker’s fake relationship, opposites-attract romance, bringing us their beautiful happy ending.

Beware spoilers below for the first book, Girl in Luv.

In the last book, we saw Langley and Iker meet after she hired him to be her date to her evil step-sister’s wedding festivities. Despite the differences in their upbringings and social status, they fell hard for each other, but ended up apart when Iker deployed without telling Langley. Now, it’s nine months later, Iker is back and he’s determined to get his girl back.

“You can’t fix what doesn’t exist.”
“Watch me.”

I love a second-chance-romance, and it very quickly becomes clear that in their short time apart neither Langley nor Iker have moved on from each other. There is still so much love between them, but there’s also a lot of hurt and mistrust. Langley was shattered when Iker left her, and he has a job on his hands to prove himself.

This is a quick read, but I was fully invested in these two as they find their way back to each other. They have a lot to work through, but they’re open and honest, they don’t hold anything back from each other, and I loved watching them figure it all out.

The romance is sweet, sexy and heartfelt, and though they have still more hurdles in their way, they handle their situation so well, and fight hard for their well-deserved happy ending.

This is a really easy read, and a great ending to Langley and Iker’s story. I enjoyed this one, and loved this duet.

Like the first book, this one is narrated by J.F. Harding and Sofia Willingham, and I recommend listening to this one.

4 stars.
