The final book in the Fate and Flame series, I have been waiting desperately for this book, and it did not disappoint. Exciting, action packed, funny, dramatic and romantic, set within a fantastically developed fantasy world, I was completely captivated, and I loved it!

Firstly, this book is obviously not a standalone. Not only that, but if you’re unclear in any way about events in the series this far, I highly recommend a reread. Not only does the story dive right back into the action from the last book in the series, but there are a lot of characters, multiple plotlines and a lot of twisty developments, and with this book written from multiple perspectives (at least six), there is a lot going on. And I relished every moment of it!

So much has led up to this finale. Romeria was forced to leave her human life behind, but she has found love, friendship and powers beyond her imagining in her new world. But it’s all on the brink of disaster with betrayals, magic, and the return of the fates bringing chaos and destruction. Our brave survivors, each fighting their own battles, need to band together like never before to survive the onslaught and protect their world once and for all, and Romeria is affirming her place and fighting hard for the land and the people that she has come to love so dearly.

“Remember who you are and do not hesitate to remind anyone who forgets.”

It’s a rollercoaster, and though it’s a long read, it felt like it flew by. There is so much going on! There is action, twists and magical badassery, and though it’s dramatic, there’s also a fantastic sense of playfulness and teasing between the characters which brings a sense of fun¸ which I really enjoyed.

And we get THREE beautiful love stories! Romeria and Zander are together, committed and fighting side by side, Atticus is pining for the unexpected love that he found in the last book of the series, and now it’s time for their baby sister, Annika to fall in a fabulously surprising story of redemption and a fun, sexy and exciting enemies-to-lovers romance that had me swooning.

“I can’t change the past. All I can do is tell you how sorry I am, beg your forgiveness, and promise to spend the rest of my life trying to be worthy of you … Because I am yours, even if you are not mine.”

The ending wasn’t quite as epic as I thought it would be, but it’s still a great finish for the series. The main storylines are wrapped up nicely, but there are definitely some threads there which allow for more books in this world in the future. I have loved these characters and this world, and highly recommend this series to all fans of well-written, exciting and heartfelt romantasy.

I loved this book – 5 stars.
