The third book in the Wolf Hotel series, this one picks up right where the last book in the series left off, with Henry and Abby attempting a relationship while she is at home taking care of her family’s farm, and he is jetting around the world ruling his empire.

Abby is trapped back in her home town while her father recovers from an accident, and with her ex-fiancé constantly around and her mother actively working to keep Abby at home and under her thumb, Abby is struggling. Luckily, her boyfriend is a billionaire and can pull off surprise visits and weekends away, and though Abby still has some insecurities, they’re both trying to make things work.

Though I’m not feeling a really strong romance yet, it’s definitely building. This book, for me, was more about Abby and Henry growing more comfortable with each other… in all the ways. Henry is an uninhibited sexy beast with a lot of experience, and he’s all about exposing Abby to all of the things he likes. This is a really smutty book and things get a bit kinky, and Abby (bless her) takes it all in stride.

“He pulls the fluffy black robe over himself. “Do you trust me?”
“Yeah, but—”
“Do you trust that I know what you’ll enjoy?”
“Yes.” He leans down and kisses me.
“Then trust me now.”

Abby’s insecurities did have me rolling my eyes a few times, but she’s young and still new to the world beyond the farm and her strict religious upbringing, so I had to cut her some slack. I admired her courage to own her new life and bravely stand up to the people in her life who are determined to keep her down. In everything, she’s honest and open about what she’s feeling, she doesn’t play games, and she continues to throw herself into new experiences, and I really liked that about her.

Henry and Abby are together and strong, but the book ends on another cliffhanger, and things are changing yet again. I’m excited for the next chapter to see where their story goes next.

I really enjoyed this one – 3.5 stars.

Note – I listened to this as an audiobook, narrated by Avery Reid, and she does a great job with it. This is an easy book to listen to.
