Release & ARC Review: Undeniably Married (Boston’s Irresistible Billionaires, #4) by J. Saman

Undeniably Married by J. Saman is live!

I love this book! Great characters, fabulously fun tropes, a blisteringly hot and swoony love story, and a completely smitten hero who stole my heart, I enjoyed every moment of this story. Friends-to-lovers, reverse age gap, sports star, Vegas wedding, fake relationship, close proximity, he falls first, lots of “my wife”, so much steam, and a surprise pregnancy, it’s all happening in this one, it’s a fantastic ride!

The last thing I expected when I ran out on my wedding was to wake up in Vegas married to Mason Reyes, the cocky, gorgeous, and much younger NFL quarterback for the Boston Rebels.

I’ve always been a smart, responsible doctor. The good girl.

And yet here I am with a drunken photo of our nuptials leaked and spreading like wildfire.

Considering my ex is his former teammate, it’s as bad as it gets.

Mason says the only way to save face and avoid further scandal is to move in with him and stay married for three months. After that, he promises we can talk about an annulment.

Reluctantly, I agree. It’s only three months and I’ve put us in a strict no-sex zone.

For a while, the plan seems to work.

The press moves on, my ex starts to get the picture that it’s over, and we’re on our way toward the finish line of this marriage being done. I even manage to ignore the way my body reacts when he calls me, “My wife.”

That is until two things happen that completely derail everything.

One, our no-sex zone flies out the window in a tangle of hot, sweaty limbs and filthy whispered words.

And two, the stick shines with one bold word: Pregnant.

5 stars

I am mildly obsessed with this series, and this book continues my infatuation. With great characters, fabulously fun tropes, a blisteringly hot and swoony love story, and a completely smitten hero who stole my heart, I enjoyed every moment of this story. Friends-to-lovers, reverse age gap, sports star, Vegas wedding, fake relationship, close proximity, he falls first, lots of “my wife”, so much steam, and a surprise pregnancy, it’s all happening in this one, it’s a fantastic ride, and I loved this book so much!

Mason and Sorel are connected through the friend and family groups of the author’s previous series (don’t be daunted, you can read this as a standalone, just be aware that most of the characters have previous books and this series features the second generation). They’ve only really become friends over the last year, and Mason is completely smitten with Sorel, but she’s engaged to his former NFL teammate. When Sorel discovers her fiancé is cheating on her and realises that her relationship has been a mess for a while, she runs out on her wedding only to be rescued by Mason and whisked away to Vegas to get away from it all.

After a drunken evening they wind up married, and though Sorel has morning-after regrets, Mason absolutely does not. He makes the most of their situation to get flirty, and when Sorel decides she wants to explore her wild side, he gallantly offers to help, and holy hell it’s so damn sexy. The chemistry between these two is electric, and Mason has a dirty mind and filthy mouth, and Sorel (and me, tbh) is there for it! But what Sorel thought would be a fling turns into something completely different when news of their nuptials goes public, and they need to keep the marriage ruse going to get the press off their backs. Sorel is determined to keep things uncomplicated and wants to go back to just being friends, but Mason has no intention of letting his wife get away.

“I’m here. I’m in this. I care a lot about you, and your happiness means everything to me. I don’t regret a second of any of it. I like being the one to help you through this. I like being someone you can trust and rely on. And I fucking love being the guy you need me to be. Sex. Lust. Friendship. Trust. Honestly. No fucking regrets. All of it, I’m here for.”

It’s a great beginning for them, and the way this story plays out had me so invested in them and their relationship. It’s fun, funny, sweet and heartfelt, and the connection between Mason and Sorel is sensational! They have such an easy friendship that so naturally becomes more, it’s steamy and it’s romantic, and I loved watching them navigate the twists and turns as Mason works to convince Sorel to give him a shot for real.

I’m tired of pretending this thing with her isn’t real. Because it is. It fucking is.

“When will you realize there is no one your heart is safer with than me because no one will ever take better care of it than I will?”

Mason’s love for Sorel is incredible. It shines in everything he says and does, and is such a highlight of this book for me. He is open and honest with her, and he holds nothing back in his quest to win her heart, and I just adored him. And Sorel is a wonderful heroine. Though she has very real and understandable reservations, she trusts Mason and she follows her heart, and their relationship is beautifully functional, and pretty much drama free.

“I’m in this. I’ve been in this from the start. I’ve been in this with you for a year. Christ, Sorel, how I’ve wanted you. All this time, I’ve wanted you. Since the moment I saw you, you are undeniable to me. It’s always been you.”

“I couldn’t breathe a day in this world without you. I need you like I need air.”

The drama comes external to the relationship, and it’s so good. It brings emotion to the story and gives both Mason and Sorel a chance to shine as they whether the storms together, and I love everything about how their story played out.

I might have always been hers, but she was always meant to be mine.

As I mentioned before, there’s a lot of character crossover from J. Saman’s previous books, which fans will love. For me, this is the first series I’ve read of hers and each book just makes me more excited to go back and devour her earlier books. Both sets of parents are awesome, but special shout out to Mason’s dad, Asher who stole my heart in this one. I need to meet the parents for real and explore more of this fantastic world!

This is such a great read – I laughed and swooned and fell in mad love, and I adored everything about it.
